USB-C ports have a maximum rated output of 100w and this has to be divided between each downstream USB-C port on the hub in use. So in the event your hub does not have a power in port and the devices you've plugged into it require collectively more than 100w (or whatever your upstream USB-C port can actually supply) some of the devices will not charge correctly, transfer data consistently or even power on.
